Ahéhee' dibé (thank you sheep)
Sheep is an integral part of Diné (Navajo) culture, from the meat to the wool all parts are used. In October of 2016, a group of Diné activists from the New Mexico and Arizona parts of the reservation responded to a call from protestors in Standing Rock North Dakota by collecting and butchering local sheep and driving up to the Oceti Sakowin to help feed the front lines of the protest with Navajo mutton.
