Sacredness Before Stonewall

June 2019 in the capital of the Navajo Nation, Diné Pride held its third annual LGBTQ pride event. The theme of the week was "Sacredness Before Stonewall" as the event coincided with the 50th anniversary of the stonewall riots. Indigenous speakers celebrated a return to sacred indigenous identities as many native cultures believe in multiple genders (often refered to now as "two spirit").
