Redemption
Jongikhaya Bomuana, 29, was incarcerated for murder after a drunken altercation with his friends. Now released from jail, Bomuana has returned to his community in Joza outside of Grahamstown. During the day, he repairs people's shoes at a roadside shop he set up. At night, Bomuana pursues his true passion of professional boxing.
Since returning home, Bomuana has heard rumors people in the community are afraid of him, but he hopes that one day they will forgive him for his past.
During his time in prison, Bomuama learned how to box as well as repair shoes. He now uses these skills to make a living in Joza. During the day Bomuama runs a shoe repair business from a stand he build in a relative's yard. At night, he pursues his passion for boxing.
