Cayla is the Global Human Rights Storyteller for the nonprofit EarthRights International. Formerly she worked as the staff photojournalist at the Casper Star-Tribune in Wyoming. She has spent her career living and working in the mountain west covering rural America and Indigenous communities often overlooked by national outlets. Specializing in documentary photography, Cayla brings a unique and intimate look at the world. 

She graduated from University of Miami in 2013 where she double majored in visual journalism and history and minored in political science. In addition to her world travels, Cayla has won several accolades for her work. She is a member of Everyday Rural America, Women Photograph and the NPPA.
